Saint Charles School is partaking in the Lenten practice of almsgiving by collecting money throughout the season for children in the African villages of Engari and Kampala. Collection bags went home on Wednesday - $20 provides clean water for orphan kids for a week as well as medical and school supplies, $30 provides a week of food for kids at the drop in center (who live in slums at night), and $71 for a bicycle so that children can more easily travel the 10-15 miles it takes to get to school. Reflect on what you have as a family and put change in the bag every day. Remember, “out there, starts here.”
